Submissions

Four Finalized is a space for polished, intentional writing from voices in our local community.
If you have a piece you’re proud of—something you’ve revised, refined, and feel is truly finished—we’d love to read it.

What We’re Looking For

We accept:

  • Short stories
  • Flash fiction
  • Poetry
  • Creative nonfiction

We’re especially interested in work that feels:

  • Thoughtful and deliberate
  • Emotionally or intellectually engaging
  • Complete (not rough drafts or early concepts)

Submission Guidelines

  • Original work only (no previously published pieces)
  • One submission at a time per writer
  • Word limit:
    • Prose: up to 3,000 words
    • Flash: under 1,000 words
    • Poetry: up to 3 poems per submission
  • Please proofread before submitting (this is Four Finalized, after all)

How to Submit

Send your work to info@fourfinalized.com with the subject line: Submission – [Title, Name]

In the body of your email, include:

  • Your name (or pen name)
  • Title of your piece
  • Genre
  • The work pasted in the body of the email (preferred) or attached as a .docx or PDF

What Happens Next?

  • You’ll receive a confirmation within a few days
  • If selected, your piece will be featured on the site
  • We aim to respond to all submissions within 2–3 weeks

A Note on Selection

We feature a limited number of pieces to keep the site focused and intentional.
If your work isn’t selected, that doesn’t mean it isn’t strong—it may just not be the right fit for what we’re curating right now.

Why Four Finalized?

Each cycle, we highlight a small number of finished works—writing that feels complete, considered, and ready to be shared.
It’s not about perfection. It’s about intention.
